Holetown forum hi all,
has anyone used the Relaxing Retreats site to book accommodation in Barbados? It appears to be simple, well priced self catering accommodation which is what we are looking for although maybe it's just me being a little distrusting of their overuse of the comic sans font but it would reassure me if anyone else had booked something through them before.

We always use Irene - the owner - as our booking agent for Barbados. She and her husband have almost always visited all the apartments and villas recently and know the owners, the housekeepers and the island well. We have just booked with Relaxing Retreats again and fly soon. Both Irene and the villa owner have been so helpful that we feel we know our housekeeper, the maintenance man and the owner already. We have had a form asking what we would like in the way of groceries to meet us, a really well researched local restaurant guide written by Irene and Peter, as well as a reminder of all the local contact numbers for doctors, police and supermarkets. We have contact numbers in case our flight is delayed or just need some help while we are there. It is a really wonderful service.

I totally agree. I have used Irene at relaxingretreats on several occasions to book accommodation. The service she gives is second to none with a wealth of information before you go. Virgin Holidays could take a leaf out of her book!
Do not hesitate in letting Irene arrange everything for you, she is a star!

I have seen the information pack that Irene sends out to her guests and IMO it deserves an award.! If you are left with any questions regarding the property in which you wish to stay , or Barbados itself , I would be amazed. She should be on the Barbados Tourist Board. lol
My husband and I have been going to Palm Beach in Barbados for years and always book through Irene, she's efficient, reliable, trustworthy and actually cares about her clients. We have stayed in 3 of the condos and they are superb. Don't hesitate. Its a fantastic place to stay, right on the beach with a secluded garden and pool area. Everything 'flyingjohn' has said, I can confirm. From start to finish, if you book through Relaxing Retreats, you will be well looked after. Hope you have a great time.

Irene is great, and I can only speak for Palm Beach condos where I have stayed, but there are no buts.
