Spent four days here with a great deal that made it brilliant value for money, beautiful village in a good location with loads to see and do within easy reach. The restaurant is lovely and we enjoyed all the menu's, especially the desserts. Would be even better if there was more of a bar area. Only tiny criticism would be they are rather strict on meal times. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely small hotel. We were particularly impressed that they managed to provide hot drinks for breakfast during a power cut following the tremendous storm. They did speak some English but tactfully spoke French doucement so that we could understand. The hotel does have a lot of character, although we felt that no door on the bathroom was maybe not to everyone's taste.

We had eaten lunch here a couple of years ago and it was very good. This time we stayed the night in a lovely room with a view over this beautiful village - autumn colours starting! The meal in the restaurant was first-class, genuinely gastronomic. Some people might complain about the portions but if you want an all-you-can-eat blow-out go elsewhere. This was delicious and refined cooking and the service throughout was friendly and unstuffy. Highly recommended.

An overnight stop on our way to south west France, had a huge room, basic but perfectly clean. Great restaurant very very quaint and in a lovely setting in this peaceful village. Will definitely return

An overnight stop on our long drive to The Algarve.
A truly beautiful hotel in a historical village setting.
Good welcome. Though our French was poor and we struggled to communicate effectively.
Quaint rooms and bathroom. Very comfortable.
Lovely restaurant with good menu.
Would definitely return to further explore the abbey in the Village.

Room tip: Learn a little French
