My two teenage sons and I went for the 1:00 pm tour. It began to rain as we arrived at the departure location and it didn't stop raining until we left. The rain actually added an element of beauty and uniqueness to the experience. We started with a thrilling ride in the Pinzgauer up to the first platform due to the muddy trails from the lingering rainy season. Ziplining through and trekking across the suspension bridges within the rainforest's canopy while it was raining was amazing. The streams in the forest floor below were flowing rapidly due to all the rain the area had recently received adding to the beauty. Our guides, Beth and Paul were an awesome pair, very knowledgeable, and were an absolute blast to spend a few hours with. They were extremely helpful and were very aware of people's sensitivity to heights and lack of experience with ziplines and rappels. I would highly recommend the Kohala Zipline experience - and don't let a little rain deter you - you won't get the views of Maui or the ocean - but you will get a true rainforest adventure.
