a party of 6 stayed of us stayed overnight on the 5th july
the 3 men played golf while our wives shopped at the trafford centre
we had an escape package which included golf breakfast evening meal free parking and use of facilities
may i say the staff were excellent and everything at the hotel was great from the welcome by the concierge, quality of food, comfort of beds and general service
there are cheaper places to eat and drink locally but i don't know if they match this quality

There are many qualities that this hotel has to offer. My stay centered on a family event with people coming from both Lancashire and Yorkshire so the Worsley Park was an obvious choice for location as it is less than three miles from J13 M60. Drive into the magnificent grounds and into the car park - this is not that big but there is an large overspill round the back of the hotel.

Head for this hotel on any weekend in Spring and Summer and will, in all probability, bump into a wedding party. This is one of "the" places to have your wedding reception - is it just so popular.

The first encounter in any hotel is usually the Reception Team and first impressions count. Here they are just superb friendly, efficient, courteous, willing and they all smile! In fact that is a very striking feature of this hotel - the staff smile and speak to you.

My smoking room (there are 11) was on the second floor in the courtyard area and it was very Marriott. The bed was superb, the room and bathroom were spotless, plenty of complimentary tea, coffee, milks etc. The mini bar is adequate, in-room safe, iron and board, trouser press etc in fact everything you would expect.

The bars in both the hotel and adjoining sports club were very good, not cheap it must be said but comparable to any city I have stayed in. Same for the restaurant - the food was excellent with a good choice.

For me it is the staff who make or break a hotel. I often stay in hotels on my own and they can be very lonely places. Not so here, if you want to talk they will stop and talk to you and seem genuinely interested in you. There are several nationalities represented at this hotel and plenty of locals as well, all ages and plenty of them. Not once did I or my family feel that we were having to look for someone to serve us, answer our questions, direct us etc.

For us this was an excellent hotel and we will definitely be back.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times. My stay last week was much better than the previous occasions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms have been refurbished.The service at reception and the restuarnt were excellent. The gym is open at all times to residents. The room was clean. Would defintely go back there. The hotel is only 10 mins drive from the Trafford Centre by taxi.

I almost gave this an excellent, so let's start with all the good things. A very good receptionist who sorted out the fact that our room was not ready (at 5) very promptly. The room itself was standard Marriott, though not as big as the one I stayed in at Newcastle recently. The bathroom was nice, and it was very clean and tidy. The pool was really large and great for real swimmers so we loved it. The sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were nice too. The steam room was the tops- it has little lights in the ceiling and changes colour. We liked that! After all that exercise we had supper in our room and the room service, although not quick was friendly and well presented. The food was good too

Next morning, unlike the other MArriott I mentioned above the breakfast was outstanding - in variety, presentation and smoothness of it all. The only minus was the slow arrival of coffee but it was a good cup when it came.

It is easy to find, and they gave us great instructions to find Old Trafford (son wanted to go there).

Why not excellent?It was very good. I suppose mainly because they rang us the day before to check our room needs and our champagne package (chilledin the room by 330 she said), but of course with the mix up re rooms- we had to nudge the champers. I would have thought you would have got the room ready. ANYWAY, only a minor niggle (but you are paying lots of money)and with the friendly staff and excellent pool we would go again.
