This is a urine built on pillars over the sea. It appears to be floating in the water or so I was told. Unfortunately my visit was during low tide so it was just over a mud flat. So if you do plan on visiting here. It would be wise to plan to arrive just before high tide. I must have had bad luck, because when I arrived, the torii gate was under maintance and could not be seen as it was wrapped in plastic with scaffolding around.
But I know this place is beautiful and must be seen since I have been here before on a better day. Luckily there is more to see then just the shrine and gate. There is many interesting shops and streets to walk around. I would come back here again. Just be sure to plan ahead and make sure the temple is not under maintance.
