I stayed at the Kenmore Hotel with my boyfriend for 1 night on Good Friday. The hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly when we checked in and the room was very comfortable. There was a large bathroom with some nice toiletries provided and the tea and coffee making facilities were most welcome. The added touch of a box of whisky fudge was a surprise.
There is not a lot of eating/drinking alternatives in Kenmore village itself, we ventured over to the Courtyard complex where there was a nice shop, restaurant and bar but as the weather was a bit wild we opted to get back to our cosy hotel and have dinner in the restaurant there. We were able to book a table and the man on reception even remembered our room number when we wanted to book. The 3 course meal was delicious and the service was good, as we were only on a B&B package we thought we were going to be in for an expensive meal charge but when we checked out the following morning we'd been charged a set 3 course dinner price of £18.50 each which was very reasonable.
The bar in the hotel with its huge coal fire was very welcoming with the wind and snow outside, the only bad comment I would make is that is was very quiet and there wasn't that much atmosphere. There was to be a folk singer on the following night but we missed him unfortunately.
We stayed in Room 6 which we found didn't lock properly when you left the room so we had to really slam it to ensure it was closed, just a word of warning to anyone who is assigned that room!
I would definitely recommend the hotel and will hopefully get back there one day.
