We nearly stayed in one of the hotels at the Drumnadrochit exhibition centre but am so glad we found the Pottery House instead. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night but it was a lovely stay. On arrival we were very impressed with how new everything looked, (the owners bought it four years ago but I'm sure the rooms must have been redecorated at least once since then). A good selection of Fair Trade teas and coffees are available in the room with a little fridge hidden in the wardrobe, (with a jug of fresh milk - so easy to provide but how many b&b's do that?!). There is a great folder provided with suggestions of things to see and do in the near and not so near vicinity. We went on two of the walks suggested, (the 5k and the 7k one), and they were both great with some stunning Loch views. There is a daily changing menu at breakfast with locally sourced products and home made rolls and jam - lovely. One thing I would recommend - walk down to the local pub the Dores Inn just before sunset and watch the sun set over the loch from the tables in the beer garden. It was cold but well worth it!!

I stayed at the Pottery House with my 10 year old son, the owners were very friendly, the rooms were emaculate and the breakfast choice was superb, I have already booked to go back in August with the rest of the family and have booked all the rooms.

The location was excellent as it was only 15 mins into Inverness, and we had a great time.

1/1 found this review helpful

My girlfriend and I stayed at Pottery House for 1 nights in March.
I found it on website and didn't have to think twice about booking it once I had read through the reviews.

I'm pleased to say that Pottery House lives up to its nice reputation.
Everything was on spot started with booking.
We checked in with no hassle and no kick up. We were able to completely relax from the minute we arrived. We found warm and nice hospitality with full attention.
The quality of the room was first class. Everything from the nice big bed to the power shower in the large en suite was just great.
The owners, John and Glen were extremely accommodating and helpful.

I am glad to recommend to everyone!

We look forward to staying again in Pottery House..even more days next time.

Kind Regards,

Zoltan & Judit

“Time to let life slow down”

Mark and I spent 3 very restful days at Pottery Cottage courtesy of hosts John and Glenn. The tranquilty of the ambience, the unhurriedness of the hosts and the immaculate spacious room and en suite bathroomall contributed to a nice comfortable break. Having stayed in many top class hotels around the world and marveled at their attention to detail it was impressive to note in this small corner of Loch Ness all those nicities were included, from the jug of milk in the fridge to the coasters and decaffinated coffee. An excellent place to stay with all the comforts of home! Whenever we are back up in this neck of the woods this will be our first port of call.
