Stayed here during first week in May, delighted to have found such an excellent B&B. Superb standard of comfort, delicious breakfast including home made rolls selected the previous evening and baked fresh....couldn't fault the service and would recommend The Pottery House to anyone (already have!).

“Pottery House has it all.”

Pottery House

16 May 2008

We just returned from spending 16 days in Scotland and stayed at some memorable B&B's. All were as we expected them to be thanks to the reviews on Trip Advisor. Pottery House was more than we expected. It has a lovely location in a small village on Loch Ness, and was built as a guest house, so the rooms are large and airy with all the amenities you might hope for and then some. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were very cozy, a mini-fridge in a closet larger than some bathrooms, fresh flowers, etc. It was a room you would love to have in your own home to welcome overnight guests. The hosts seemed to anticipate our every possible need and have it at-hand. Our bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom and very well equipped. We only wished we'd had more time to spend there. Breakfast was delicious with a nice assortment of cold and hot items and home-baked rolls and jams. Be sure to walk down to the beach by Dores Inn and watch the sunset after dinner; friendly folks, bonfires, dogs, very mellow. Let John and Glen guide you to some of their favorite places. All in all, it had it all. And that's rare.

“The Wow! factor”

Pottery House

14 May 2008

This is how all B&Bs should be! We stayed (sadly, for only one night) at Pottery House on our journey down through Scotland from Orkney. We stayed in six B&Bs on the way and Pottery House was the highlight. As soon as we went into our room we said "Wow!" and we were delighted with every detail from then on. John and Glenn's commitment to environmental concerns was impressive. We recommend anyone travelling around Scotland to make sure their itinerary can include a stay here.

My partner and I spent our Anniversary weekend at the Pottery House and all I can say is the place is perfect. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing and I would not hesitate to recommend this to any of our friends. The rooms are clean and modern, the company is congenial and the breakfast is A1! Well done!
