“OK biz hotel in the heart of Otemachi (I'd select "good" if they had the option)”
This hotel is really good. It's purely business style even considering the musical theme of the rooms' interior which appealed to me very much since I'm a vivid music lover. Rooms are comfortable, clean and simple - the Japanese way. The only negative thing abount this hotel is the breakfast. I'm not saying it's bad but it's just the same every day (which is actually common for hotels) and not that great. It consists of a soup (miso, tomato, or very plain minestrone for some variety), small salad bar with not the best choice of sauces, famous Japanese mayonnaise salad (not a very good one in my opinion), bread, eggs + drinks of course - very average orange juice, water and really average if not bad coffee and tea. As for me, I'd rather not eat such a breakfast or eat only eggs, soup and veggies without a sauce.
The guests are almost 100% managers on a biz trip. The neighbourhood is also 100% biz district but very nice like all of Tokyo.
The front desk is not that great and helpful. I tried to get directions from them but they either didn't know or their English was not good enough to explain. They're also not very friendly - the Japanese way I guess. So there is some awkwardness about the front desk people.
So, if you're on biz trip and your biz is in Otemachi or close by - go for it; otherwise, if vacationing and having fun, go for smth more casual and nice.
