We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Generally our experience was fair. The hotel was ideally located with pleasant walks nearby. However, the main restaurant was less enjoyable and of variable quality. On the last day, despite plenty of room in the restaurant, we were crammed next to other occupied tables, giving us little privacy. Furthermore, the standard of washing-up was poor - I had to return an unclean coffee cup on the first morning. Finally, having eaten nowhere else but at the hotel, I ended up with a bad case of food-poisoning which developed after leaving (it triggered an attack of reactive arthritis affecting me for 6 months). The management was very unsympathetic, maintaining that they could not be responsible! I would never go there again, nor recommend it.

i stayed here in october and found everything about the place to be complete rubbish i paid 85 pound bed and brerakfast for one person the room was filthy the bathroom was cramped and the service was poor i did not stay for breakfast so i cant comment on the food side but i would be cautious as to what room you get.

My parents live in Norfolk and have stayed at the Cliff several times. The hotel itself is great. Staff really nice. I've always found the rooms clean. Back rooms have a beautifull view of the sea and they do a gorgeous breakfast-however we've been let down twice by the booking system. On the first occasion there was no record of our booking and hotel was fully booked-it ruined our weekend as there's not many really nice hoels in Yarmouth. When we went in June and because of previous experience we got them to confirm our de-luxe room-although we had to ask three times to get this. When we arrived we were booked in a standard. Although we got a discount it wasn't quite the same. My advice is do stay here as its a lovely hotel with nice staff but confirm and check your booking!!
