Agree with other reviews that this hotel is a quiet haven in a busy part of the city, has lovely Koy carp pond and birds all around it. View over city from our 8th floor room was amazing. Rooms clean, staff helpful, although took a bit of hand waving to make guy on reception understand we had booked two rooms. Rooms were spacious with wifi which was a bit sporadic at times. Pay TV which we didn't bother with. One concern was that windows opened fully, even on 8th floor!
Didn't eat in hotel but plenty of bars, shops and restaurants around.

I was running late to get to shibuya one day and I was there in less than 15 minutes door to door. A short walk to meguro station, two stops away on the yamanote line. Really convenient! Meguro is a lovely place to stay, walking the river to naka meguro is beautiful.

The hotel is old but well kept, the service was great. The garden is nice, the buffet breakfast was good, some western food like potatoes eggs toast and cornflakes. I asked not to have my room serviced every day as it kicked up a lot of dust changing the sheets. The bed was rock hard, the pillow not much better. The wifi was brilliant. And the room is HUGE by japanese standards. Enough room to swing a cat. Plenty for a single, slightly cramped for a couple.

Level three has the coin laundry, but it's really dusty, you'll end up with more dust on your clothes than when started, I don't know when they clean the filters and I was unable to do it myself.

We had a 2 night stay at this hotel in July 2014. Hotel surrounding was peaceful. Hotel is located near the JR Meguro station so it is quite easy to go everywhere with JR Yamanote line.

Room was spacious but decoration was a little bit outdated and old fashioned. Bed mattress was hard and good to sleep.

Friendly personnel.

Reasonably priced hotel.

Conveniently located near Meguro station, yet not quite in the chaotic heart of the city, it was an easy base for exploring Tokyo. The staff are very friendly and efficient and they speak English fairly well which is useful for those with limited Japanese. The breakfast buffet provided was pleasant, with a small variety of Japanese and Western options. The rooms are definitely not luxurious and are quite small (as are the bathrooms!) but they are clean, comfortable and practical. The hotel itself has a surprisingly pretty interior, and there is a small and tranquil "tea garden" with outdoor chairs and a fishpond... for me, it was a sweet, great value little oasis to come back to after long and lively days in Tokyo city. Can definitely recommend it and intend to go back!

Quiet and cozy hotel in the Meguro area, ideal for getting a glimpse of the actual life of many Tokyo locals, and checking some of the newer neighbourhoods in Tokyo.
It is very near to the Meguro station, JR line, that takes you fast to the main touristic attractions.

Rooms are small, and for sure, it's not the fanciest hotel in Tokyo, but everything is really clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I strongly recommend anyone visiting Tokyo to stay at this hotel, and use the extra money you save discovering some nice restaurants or enjoying the amazing Tokyo nightlife!
