We stayed for one night. Having had a long tiring journey, from which we were very kindly collected from the station by the husband of the landlady, we arrived only to be kept standing in the entrance forever by the landlady going on and on and on about her dog and various stories shooting off from her dog introduction. Polite smiles and aching face from trying to be polite. But really she should just welcomed us, showed us the room and left us to it. Not only did she talk non stop AT us, she also let her dog go into the bedroom whilst she was showing us it. Their website doesn't mention a dog, and we would certainly prefered not to have been in a house with a dog, my husband being an asthmatic.
She made a big deal about the mattresses being memory foam and how we'd not notice the other person moving or getting out of the bed. In actual fact, every time one of us moved, the whold bed shook!
We tried to sneak in after our night out in the local village only to be accosted on the stairs. And breakfast was painful, as she gave a long story on each item on the plate. We were not left to just enjoy breakfast. We unwillingly heard about all kinds of people and family members and random stories etc etc during our stay.
I would like to highly recommend this b&B, as it was in a good location (driveway incredibly steep though - don't go during frosty months) and the decor was beautiful and it did appear very clean, but the loopy annoying landlady made it a strong 'never again' for us.
