My and friend just got back from a short break at Roda Garden Village. If I were to sesume it in one short sentence I would say: I had better. But in more detail here are the things I would like to point out:
Staff are not very friendly, you can see they are not enjoying what they doing, and that comes across big time
The bedrooms aren't very clean, specially the bathroom
They make you pay 2.50 euros a day for the safe key
The make you pay for the beach towel
they make you pay 2euros a day for the beach chairs
Drinks are not very good, and they have a horrible test of dirty pipes.
In my personnal experience, I was unlucky enough to have fallen down the stairs on our first day, and although my friend as informed them of my fall and asked for ice to put on my hurt foor, no one from the hotel staff or the owner has come to see if I need anything or asked if I was feeling any better the following days.
We asked for a bedroom on the ground floor so it would be easier for me, but they never mentioned again.
The beach is extremely close to the road, and it's pebbled, so don't forget your beach shoes.
The food wasnt good but not a lot of variety and they have no labels, so your are no sure if you are having lemon jam or apple jam
The beds were confortable
The Tv only has one english speaking channel, and teh remote control didnt work, even when we got it replaced still didnt work, we were to embarassed to ask again....
Animation is appauling, we weren't really sure what was going on, if anything at all.
Loads of Wasps, if you are allergic, this is not the place for you!!!!
The best part was the sunshine even in October and the landscape, the mountains around it are breath taking, the sea is very calm and the water not too cold for October.
The village is not far and there's a vast choice of places to eat and drink.
Very peaceful location, certainily not a party Coast, but I like like that.
We did have a great time as we made the most of what was being given to us, at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
Next time we will definitely be paying a bit more though....
