What a brilliant holiday! Nothing is any problem for Christina and co. Upon your arrival you are greated with genuine warmth. A starter pack is given to you in your room which includes a litre bottle of water, tea, coffee and small pots of milk in your room so you have a drink upon arrival. We found this especially handy as it gave us time to get in and unpacked before having to think about getting shopping.
Speaking of shopping there is a Lidl right across the road from the apartments which is open everyday apart from Sunday. However there are plenty of local supermarkets which have plenty of products that you need and are probably slightly cheaper.
Christina, who will meet you on arrival, is originally from England but moved across to Greece about 20 years ago when she met her husband who is Greek. She and the rest of the team will happily help you with any questions you may have. At the Evelin they like to look after there guests and get to know you which is why it is so friendly. They hold a barbecue every Wednesday which has great food mixed with the taste of the local culture. Greek dancing is performed for you to enjoy and you can even get up and have a go yourself. I would recommend it, it is a lot of fun! It also gives you the chance to meet other holiday makers and some local people.
The rooms are basic but also spacious and very clean. The linen is changed regularly and there is plenty of draw and wardrobe space. I would not recommend bringing your own hangers to hang up clothes as there was loads (about 40) in our wardrobe already there for us! The views from the balconies are loverly and we were lucky enough to get one overlooking the greek mountains which was fab!
When going to eat out on an evening we never had a bad meal! The places i would recommend the most are Milos and a restaurant with big windmills inside (can't remember the name but you won't miss it!) The food at the bar in the Evelin is very nice as well as the drinks! There are also computers for those who want to use them (cost 1 euro) and a pool table (cost 1 euro). There is also a book shelf filled with books that guests can borrow if they want something to read during there stay. Many people leave there books behind on the shelf for future holiday makers to enjoy!
The atmoshphere is very relaxed and as the apartments are set off from the main road it is very peaceful. One of the things that surpised us was the amount of sunloungers available. I will gurantee you will never go without a sunlounger. The pool is a great size and there are even inflatables that previous guests have left to keep the younger children entertained (and even some of the adults!)
All in all you will never want to leave this place. If you want a relaxed and peaceful setting, make new friends, experience some of the local culture then this is the place for you!
