“Sad to leave our gracious hosts”

Casa Sibarita

After reading the reviews we decided to stop in Casa Sibarita for two nights during our honeymoon. We could not have been more pleased! Neil and Simon have created a beautiful, calm, relaxing environment with great attention to detail and fabulous food.

We lazed in the sun by the pool, raided their bookcases for books and ate until we were fit to burst. The rooms are very comfortable with great bathrooms and we had a balcony overlooking the pool area which was a wonderful place to sit and relax.

The village itself is not exciting or picturesque but there were a few bars and cafes, there is the nearby historical town of Xativa and we drove to surrounding areas (once we got our hire car sorted, thank you Simon :) finding a beautiful old monastery and amazing views during a scenic drive.

After staying in busy city areas for the most part of our trip Casa Sibarita was a welcome respite and I would recommend it to anyone. Neil and Simon were so accommodating and we felt like we were visiting old friends. We were sad to leave and hope to return.

“Great weekend break”

We have just returned from a weekend break at Casa Sibarita and would echo all the comments of previous visitors. We had such a relaxing and peaceful time with Simon and Neil and their other guests it was more like a weekend house party than a hotel stay. Although you can join in with fellow visitors in the lounge, garden and pool areas, no one minds if you take time out on your own private terrace overlooking the courtyard. The hotel itself and the rooms in particular have been renovated to a modern comfortable style and are spacious and airy. The shower-rooms in particular were a joy. Cleanliness was second to none. The food as already reviewed was perfect with a good choice of modern European and local Spanish dishes. Some visitors may find the town to be a little quiet although we found it ideal for quiet down-time after the stress of day to day life. That said the there are one or two bars which are friendly and busy until all hours. All in all, we found our stay such a joy that our follow on trip to a "chain" hotel in Valencia was rather a dull, depressing visit.

This a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are both interested and interesting and whilst the village is typical of its type when you walk through the imposing front doors you move into an oasis of calmnessss, comfort and luxury. The hotel has all the characteristics of the ubiquitous 'boutique' hotels which tend to be over priced and some times overrated - but it is different here. Prices are more than reasonable, there is not an obsession with 'coolness' or image and you feel immediately at home. Nothing is too much trouble and both Simon and Neil help in every way they can - they have got the perfect balacne between discretion and assistance. I cannot rate this hotel too highly after visitng many in Spain - and Simon constructs a very substantial gin and tonic..................

We just completed a three week trip to Spain staying in many wonderful places. Casa Sibarita was the best of the best.
Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, great location (small Spanish village just 10 minutes from train connections to Valencia or Xativa) wonderfull food and absolutely the best hosts possible in Simon and Neil. Can't wait to go back. would highly recommend Casa Sibarita to anyone. Fabulous! Go ...enjoy!

“Lovely attention to detail”

There is immaculate attention to detail in everything at Casa Sibarita; from the authentically restored living area to the beautifully laid out sun terraces.

The food IS more European than Spanish but delicious nonetheless and Neil would cook you anything if you gave him enough warning, I'm sure.

Breakfasts were superb too. Home made bread, home made jam, home made yoghurt, estupendo Jamon Iberica.

Our room was lovely. Kind of Ikea meets Espana but in a tasteful and comfortably chic way.

The charming and very obliging hosts have a good knowledge of the local area and although Rafelguaraf is a 30 minute train journey from Valencia, (don't even think of driving in to Valencia), it's very near the absolutely delightful Xativa and we reckoned that was a good enough reason to stay a little out of town when visiting Valencia.

We thoroughly recommend this small hotel and as for value for money, it's just ridiculously good. Less than 75 euros per night for 2 people including breakfast in a really typically Spanish house? Utterly unbeatable.
