We were staying locally, and looking for somewhere to eat when I last visited The Dolphin it was the old Dolphin that was badly damaged by fire.
I was pleased by what we found a practical laid out public house ,plenty of space to eat without being sat on top of each other. which is often the case these days.
There is a simple menu easy to read , just the odd special on the chalk boards.which is
just what you need ,you tend to find huge menu,s and you know nearly everything comes out of the freezer.....
We had fish from the menu and I must say it was lovely, infact we enjoyed it so much we went back the following evening again just as good as before. The service was first class it is not easy to find young people who do this type of job well but they seem to have found good staff at the Dolphin. There seems to be a nice mix of locals and tourists which is good. We did not have a room at the Inn but i,m sure it would be of good standard
