Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Suite Princess between the 11th and 18th April and had the best time! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a fresh glass of champagne and checked in quickly. We had emailed a few weeks before to request a high floor so we were very pleased to be given a room on the 8th floor. They offered to take our bags to our room so that we could get some food at the tapas bar before it closed for the evening which was very nice of them. When we arrived in our room we couldn't believe how nice it was! We had also requested a double bed in our email so were very pleased to see a massive king size bed. There was also a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us, along with bath robes, slippers, a flat screen tv and a massive balcony! The view from our balcony was the icing on the cake. I could have sat staring out at the sea all day. We got the sun from about noon until 7 in the evening.
We were very impressed with the food, having stayed at the gran canaria princess in playa del ingles I thought the food would be pretty much the same as there. However it was ten times better, so much choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They were constantly bringing out fresh food and we probably ate way to much just because we couldn't decide what to have. I really liked the fact that the tapas restaurant was open from 10 until 6 so there was always something to snack on. We had the silver wristbands as were not really big drinkers, I really don't see the point in paying so much extra just for some posh drinks.
We were abit worried after reading reviews that the hotel would be full of people over 60. We are in our twenties and can defiantly say that there was lots of people of different ages so we didn't feel out of place. We also managed to get a sunbed every day, we usually went down about ten and there was plenty to choose from. I do agree with other people that the sunbeds are to close together, but then again people would moan if there wasn't enough sunbeds! We went to peurto mogan a few times and enjoyed the nicest steak I have ever eaten at the zoo bar restaurant near to the beach. I would definitely recommend it, we went back another day and had an amazing burger.
As for the evening entertainment we weren't really into the acts that the hotel put on, I think that was just personal taste though. We did enjoy sitting in the piano bar and also my boyfriend enjoyed the sports bar as regular football matches were shown. There was also pool tables in there.
The staff were all friendly and we thought that free bus to peurto mogan was an added bonus. We would definitely go back and I wish I was there now!
