Most reviewers put emphasis on the hotel being close to Girona airport. I would like to highlight another aspect. We found that the location was very convenient for travelling around, both to Barcelona and to the coast.
We had just four days for our holiday. We mostly wanted to walk at the coast and around, but we also wanted to visit Barcelona. Our flight was relatively late, I was not keen to drive at night, and we did not want to change hotels. Hence, we chose this one.
Sure, it would not be convenient without a car. The hotel is located at a motorway junction and to get anywhere, you need to drive. (The car is essential anyway if you want to see around, especially the coast!) Girona is in about 20 minutes, Begur with its beaches - 40-50 minutes. For Barcelona, we drove to the nearest station in Sils (10-15 minutes) and took a train.
I agree with most of other reviewers about the hotel itself. The room was nice and clean, staff were friendly, efficient and fluent in English, and breakfast was plentiful. I also have to agree that the hotel restaurant was a bit expensive, but the food was nice, as well as local wines!
Another thing about the costs, the room rate with breakfast (£70 for a double room with an extra bed) was noticeably cheaper than the rate for the room only! (Do not ask me why, I don't know; I booked at Go2Spain.co.uk) Otherwise, I would probably agree that breakfast is sort of overpriced.
As everyone has pointed out, the hotel is really close to the airport. This also helped to have a relaxing short holiday. Altogether it has worked really well for us.
