“Absolutely fantastic !!!!!”

My hubby and I did a last minute trip to New Quay for one night. We travel quite a bit and I cannot praise this little gem enough. Mike and Angela made us so welcome we felt like family. I can honestly say the breakfast we had was the best we have had in a b & b/ guest house, and would put many 5 star hotels to shame. Angela went out of her way to book a table in the local resterant and a taxi down and back for us, as it was a Saturday, and many places in the middle of summer do get booked up early. The room was superb with many lovely touches. First class, will definatly go back there. Thanks both x

We stayed here after finding the b&b via internet. only stayed for one night, as we had not been to the area before. The area is very nice and wished we could have stayed at the b&b for a couple of extra nights. within easy reach of new quay and surrounding area, The lodge is of high quality, we had the en suite room which was very clean and decor is of high standard. The hosts Angela and Mike (Jamie) are Tops made you feel really comfortable, The breakfast is something else, one of the best we have had everything is home made See Photo. nothing is to much trouble just ask and you get. we will be going back and would highly recommend for a short stay break. First Class and reasonably priced.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2010

A warm welcome awaits you at this lovely home , we had not booked up, quite late when we arrived nothing was to much trouble for two weary travelers . The breakfasts are the best, choice of home made preserves .Full English with local produce cooked to perfection.

“Oak Lodge B&B is a great place to stay.”

Oak Lodge B&B is a great place to stay. It’s close to New Quay and Cei Bach beach. Mike and Angela are very warm and welcoming and make every effort to ensure that their guests enjoy their stay. My wife and I had the double room with en-suite shower, which were scrupulously clean and tidy. The bed was warm and comfortable, the shower room was light and airy and equipped with useful toiletries and the towels were changed daily. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of hanging space and drawers, there was also a TV with a DVD player and selection of DVD’s, a hi-fi unit with a selection of CD’s, plus a selection of books and a local information pack which was very useful. We also had facilities to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate, with a jar full of cookies and bottles of water left by the bedside. Breakfast was excellent. Angela offers a good variety of breakfast options with locally sourced produce, some of which are homemade like fruit compote and preserves. If you manage to eat all that’s on offer, then chances are you probably won’t need lunch!
We were very impressed with our short stay with Mike and Angela, and touched by their attention and kindness. Many thanks for looking after us so well!
