I would consider this an upscale hotel, yet quaint with a great deal of character. The town is well situated for a lot of sightseeing but if you don't speak Spanish (we don't), do your homework before you go because nobody speaks a word of English. There are beautifully painted murals all over the hotel and one of a kind furnishings in the room. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was market day on Sat. right outside the hotel. Only disadvantage is that the hotel is walled in and not accessible by car. Had to park a couple of blocks away in a shopping center.
