At hostel prices, Casa Holanda was hotel standard :-) Having spend one night at the more than awful Casa Mojito, Casa Holanda was clean, comfortable, friendly and professional - by far the best place we stayed during our entire stay in Colombia.
Run by Edwin, a friendly, helpful, Dutch man, Casa Holanda acts as a little oasis in Taganga. The reasonable price includes a delicious breakfast - anything you want on the breakfast menu - eggs, pancakes, fresh juice. The restaurant offers an evening special and a wide variety of delicious menu options (again, much better than the standard fare in Colombia) They have happy hour twice a day and make truly delicious drinks - try the Passion Verde - I challenge you to taste something more delicious! The staff are always pleasant - some speak English, and those who don't try very hard to understand faltering Spanish!
The Casa is on one of the 'main' streets, leading the to beach. So safe and not as far out of the town as some of Taganga's other popular options. The bedrooms are super clean and fresh with white linen and white rooms, the water supply reliable, and there are hammocks and tables to chill at in a quiet, leafy yard. You can leave your luggage if you are heading to Tayrona or the Lost City :-)
All in all, thumbs up from us - would recommend it to anyone!
