Don't look for Mercure - this hotel is/was an old Ibis and is still branded as such [whether that will change, who knows?] so don't go looking for Mercure signs.
The staff were pleasant and welcoming; the hotel interior was bright, clean and modern, the room was just about adequate for an overnight or two [the bathroom extractor fan didn't work - they normally don't in France, but just pointing this out!]. No comfortable chairs in bedroom, but plenty in foyer. Usual miserly amounts of tea/coffee sachets you find everywhere these days!
Meals were ok, and served efficiently - it was busy when we were there and the staff were all working very very hard but still being pleasant and coping impressively well.
One thing does need pointing out - there is NO access to the bar/restaurant area for wheelchairs because it is up 3 steps; the only way to get a wheelchair up there is for several people to struggle to lift it - unbelievable, and unacceptable, these days!
