“Great Sunset, Great Meals, Reasonably Priced!”

We walked to the Big Buddha Cafe from the nearby Outrigger Resort where we were staying. The sunset view as advertised is one of the best on Koh Samui, the meals were good with a large and varied menu and reasonably priced. The service was excellent. We will definately return on our next visit.

We stopped for lunch at BBC after having visited Big Buddha and the local food market. The menu is extensive to suit all tastes with "Specials" listed on the board. Very tasty. Lovely location overlooking the sea. Very clean. Good service and a range of drinks and beers.

“Drink in the view and a cocktail or two too!”

The BBC is in the Lonely Planet for a reason. Walking off the street onto the terrace is like walking into a postcard "tropical island evening". The view is gorgeous and the setting (and bathroom) was immaculate. Great service, good food and drinks and a friendly chat with the Kiwi owner as we left made us feel at once at home and abroad. We ate Thai - but a family further down the terrace were sharing nachos with the kids so the menu caters to all comers.

“Good value and lovely view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

One of the best things about BBC is the lovely view of the sea and bay. It moved last year to its present position, just slightly along from the old one. It's a huge restaurant, maybe a little too big, but the staff are good, the food is good, nothing to really write home about, but it is nice for a lunch and it's very reasonably priced. Certainly anyone driving by should give it a try. Haven't been in the evening but sure the sunset is lovely. They also do a Sunday roast - which is huge!

“Food and Service to match the view!”

Having visited Samui for the past 11 years we have experienced many of the wonderful restaurants on the island across a whole spectrum of categories, with and without our children. The BBC however excels on many levels, as not only does is sit opposite the Island’s most famous ‘golden’ inhabitant which affords the diner with spectacular views across Bang Rak Bay of the memorising sunsets, the food and service compliment the setting, to provide an excellent dining experience.
The menu is extensive enough to cater for any ‘fussy’ diners, with both local cuisine and international cuisine included. You have ample to choose from, no matter what your budget. There is a very welcoming atmosphere from the owner, his family and staff. LCD Tv’s are located sufficiently around the open air restaurant to provide an enjoyable back drop of light music, plus allowing for kids to cosy up on one of the sofas to watch their favourite film/cartoon, whilst any sports fans aren’t to be disappointed as well. This is not ‘in your face’ entertainment; a quiet romantic meal is still to be had.
The ‘facilities’ are spotless and would shame many a hotel. This is a must visit restaurant whilst you are on the island. We used it numerous times during our three weeks and every occasion was faultless. Enjoy!
