Once again the BBC met and surpassed our expectations.
We used the BBC quite regularly during our 2 weeks on Samui over Christmas, not having been this time of year previously but at other less busy times of the year we were unsure what culinary delights would be available. We needn’t have worried, for traditionalists, Mark and his Staff put on a spread you would have been delighted with in your own home, (plus the room for the live band!) The atmosphere was great, with service to match, view improving (clouds were lifting and the beautiful bay was visible once again), NOT that the BBC can be blamed for the weather! Our eldest child ate more than he would have done at home, including the vegetables – of which there were plenty. For those not wishing to indulge the in the traditional, there was plenty of home-made Thai food – absolutely superb.
Another night we dined here my wife had lobster thermodore, her favourite dish. The lobster was enormous and tasted in her words ‘sublime’. I had the yellow curry and pineapple rice (my favourite dish) enough to have feed both of us and equally impressive as the lobster.
We completed our stay with New Years Eve at the BBC, a fitting end to a fantastic stay, our favourite restaurant; compete with good food, good service, and good friends. Samui is littered with restaurants, most good for various reasons whether it be, good view, varied menu, good service, good prices, good atmosphere, good facilities. The BBC in our opinion has a tick in every box, the only frustration is that we have to travel 6500 miles from the Uk to visit it!
