before bookin this hotel, i tried to find reviews about it, but couldnt find one anywhere, so now I no how dire this place is i'd like to warn others.
I booked a holiday with the assumption i was getting a 3star hotel with pool and all-inclusive, the hotel is a shabby out-dated 2star at a push, its more of a motel then hotel, the pool was shut and had been for a while all that was inside the pool was iches of rain water and algae. Our room was right above said pool, which stank. we had the bare basic's in the room, no sheets to sleep under just a nasty old blanket, u had one lamp which is right above the bed, so u would hit ur head if u forgot it was there, the lamp itself was old and stained, the bathroom had a toilet on one side and a shower right opposite on the wall, but there was no raised flooring no curtain to close it off so when takin a shower the water hit the toilet, my poor mother couldnt even take a shower as the shower was so high up she couldnt reach the settings, people who ran the said "hotel" tried charging for air-con, and water, which i have never had to do in all-inclusive. When it came to breakfast we were expectin a buffet of sorts due to it being all-inclusive, and I have this option as I am quite fussy with food and like a choice, but we were served a turkish breakfast, of which I liked nothing, and there was no other choice, lunch wasnt much better, they had no food stocked in the place and when asked if chicken and chips was suitable they went and brought the chicken from a shop. We went to Turkey for 2 weeks, after one night in this place we wanted out, and transferred to a 5 star hotel. Hopefully by putting this review in I will save some people the hassle we had to go through. I know this isnt down to the people at the hotel, its down to the agents I booked the holiday with, but as I was none the wiser, I think its right that I should share this info with anyone given the wrong facts about The Baccara Hotel.
