We booked Mom Tri's based on the reviews that we had read, and they are all true to their word. The resort is absolutely stunning ran by professional, polite staff. Whereever you are, you see the ocean. We checked in, and look, there's the ocean. We had dinner at the restaurant, and look, there's the ocean. We open our curtains in our room, and look, there's the ocean! Our room was amazing, complete with a nice seating area and a tub and seperate shower. When we first entered our room, there was nice music playing, and a basket of fruit, a welcome letter, and it even smelled great. Every night there was turn down service - where they left a small snack on your bed (there's a mid afternoon snack that is left for you too) and they would turn on the scented aromatherapy thing that smelled sooo good. We had dinner at the resort the first night. That was quite memorable, eating with the ocean right before our eyes. The food was very good - pricey but hey...you're at a 5 star resort. And mind you, we ate in town the rest of the time, which was very disappointing. We couldn't find one restaurant that satisfied our need for good, authentic, spicy Thai! The pools at Mom Tri's are also very nice. They also have a computer for you to use free of charge with internet. The only downside was that the weather wasn't really cooperating and so there was not a ton of beach time.
Oh and if you are looking for a cancun type vacation (partys, drinking, etc), this is not the beach or resort for you - you might want to go to Patong beach instead. We are non-partyers and this was perfect.
Overall - it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for, considering it's a couple of notches away from paradise and likely the best resort we have ever stayed at.

Being a travel agent , I went to Mom Tri's Villa Royale with high expectations..... And I am happy to say they were more than exceeded!

The property itself is in an ideal location... Nice and quiet overlooking the beautiful Kata Noi beach but within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and nightlife. Grounds are stunning - and immaculately kept!

From the moment we arrived staff were welcoming, friendly and willing to do anything to make our stay a memorable one. They always remebered our names and room number and anticipated any requests we had....

The Beach Wing Suite we stayed in was very large and had a lovely view of Kata Noi beach. The bed was larger than a king and very comfortable. There was also a couch which faced a large flat screen TV with DVD player which came in handy on the odd occurance of rain! There was also a very comfortable daybed on the large balcony and a table and chairs to sip a beer in whilst watching the sunset! Bathroom was also lovely - large bath and sperate rainwater shower....

Food wise breakfast was a delight with plenty of tasty morsels to chose from whilst looking out over the beach. Mom Ri's kitchen served up delcious food! It is definitely deserving of all the awards it has recieved. Every day there were small treats left in our room - these were also really yummy and we always looked forward to returning from rhe

Overall my experience at Mom Tri's was one of the best I've had since working in the industry. I have no hesitations in recommending Villa Royale to all my friends, family and of course clients....! Thanks for a great holiday!

We were stayed here for six nights with another couple. My husband and I decided to up grade to a suite for another $1000. So glad we did!! It was so beautiful. We had an enormous bedrooom and bathroom, with a huge lounge and dining area overlooking the sea and not to mention a lovely outdoor sitting area. As our other friends had a room (which was really great) , our suite was a fabulous place to hang out for the four of us.

Service, food, cleanliness and atmosphere was 10/10. We were also pleasantly surprised to find out when we arrived that all food was 25% off for that month and 1/2 priced drinks were on offer at happy hour every evening. You should check for these offers when considering what time of year you want to go.

Can't say enough about this place. To top it all off, we recieved a xmas card from them with information about upcoming offers. Can't wait to return.

PS There is also a Villa next door you can book owned by the hotel. I think it accomodates about 8 to 10 people. Has its own butler, cook etc.

I have been meaning to write a review on Mom Tri's Villa Royale, but have not quite gotten down to it. Having been months since my visit to Mom Tri's, it's got to mean something when every memory is still strongly etched in mind!

The absolutely commending service started way before our trip, when we were informed through email that we would be upgraded to the Toey-Talay suite instead of the Beach Wing Suite we had originally booked on Asiarooms.com.

When we arrived, we were presented with a lovely jasmine garland and a very refreshing drink (it was some kind of drink that tasted very much like Ribena - nice anyway).

We were then led to the suite which instantly took our breaths away! We pushed open the wooden doors, and it revealed a HUGE patio overlooking the sea (it was a distance away but you could hear the gentle crashing of waves nonetheless). The hotel staff led us into the suite, which was unbelievably clean and nicely scented awaiting our arrival. There was music playing, nice smelling incense and orchids on the king size bed. Beautiful!

Then comes the shocker - the hotel staff showed us a hidden door which led to our very own private wine cellar within the suite!! It looked exactly like a cave and it was just amazing. My partner and i are more beer guzzlers than wine sippers, so we did not utilize this space - though it was super impressive.

The bathroom was humongous and extremely clean each day. Every evening when we returned there was fresh fruit and our beds would be freshly made with orchids and chocolates. In the afternoon one day, they even brought pineapple tarts to our suite!

The amazing room aside, it was quite a climb up and down to the beach, but totally worth the effort. Although I can foresee how it may not be the best resort if you have difficulty moving around. There is also a private beach within Mom Tri's and it is just a flight of stairs down to the beach - which has the most refreshing and tastiest Coconut Ice Blend ever. The best thing when you're sunburnt and need a cold fix!

Going to the town for dinner is convenient albeit a tiring upslope. But then again, with a suite this beautiful and the beach just a few steps away, it was a small sacrifice.

When checking out, we had a lot of spare time between check out and getting to the airport. So my partner and I went to the beach and got all sweaty and soaked from seawater - not a pretty sight for getting on a plane :) the staff at Mom Tri's were more than happy to bring us to their in house spa, even though we were not going to get a spa treatment. They saved us a room in their spa, with an ensuite bathroom no less, and we could take our time to shower and dress up. This is truly exceptional service!

I would be back again and again and again! I just really hope the standards don't slip over time, and I have faith that it won't - in the near future at least.
