My husband and I booked this hotel through a Cudo voucher special not really having any expectations. We have travelled alot and do like nice hotels and the pictures looked lovely on Trip Advisor though the reviews were somewhat mixed.
For me to review this hotel, I would have to say it was the complete package and perfect place, location and service that we needed to relax, unwind, be pampered, all without fuss and "in your face" service.
To really benefit from Bundarika (Thai for "White Lotus Flower") you need to understand that it is situated in a National Forest 40 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Patong beach markets. This means that the 2 shuttle trips, which are not conveniently timed and its a rough hilly, bumpy trip to Patong whilst you ingest carbon monoxide fumes, should be furtheriest from your mind when booking the Bundarika. I would suggest if you want to shop, stay a few nights in Patong then head out to the Bundarika for an absolute calming of the body mind and spirit experience.
The Bundarika offers complimentary "Hermit" classes each morning, they run for 30 minutes and 'OFF', thats his name, will conduct these classes anywhere around the resort your heart desires. I opted for poolside location by the Wellness Centre. Hermit classes are a mix of gentle stretching and yoga poses. They are suitable for young and old and certainly a wonderful way to start your day.
The rest of the resort was peaceful, anything you wanted the staff were happy to assist you. The wellness centre has a great menu of massages. I had the Indian Head Massage which was out of this world. Once again, OFF, who is a gentle well mannered and fantastic massusee, performed this.
The Ginger Rabbit is the Thai resteraunt with fantastic views over looking the bay and beach area. Above the Ginger Rabbit is a church like white structure which would be fabulous for a wedding.
The rooms were comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite up on the hill. For disabled people, children or elderly people it is quite a steep grade to get up the hill to your room however the staff are always happy to drive you up in their buggies at no cost, and its alot of fun as well.
The breakfast is a buffet. Good selection of food, hot and cold from eggs, rice, beans, hash browns to cereals, fresh juices, fruits and salads as well as bakery items. The little egg cart outside is a nice way to order your breakfast eggs, just the way you like them.
The pool areas are nice and clean. The beach side pool is located by the cafe but we chose the one by the wellness centre because it was nice and quiet. There are no staff asking you for drink orders or food which we found good and non obtrusive.
Overall, if you want pomp and ceremony, shopping etc, go stay in a 5 star hotel. If, on the otherhand you want to leave your holiday totally refreshed, rejuvinated and totally whole again, dont go past this great resort with friendly helpful staff and reconnect with nature.
If you have any health issues, are disabled or elderly, choose one of the pool villa rooms located o...

Thank you so much for your positive review regarding your recent stay at Bundarika. I would not describe the resort better than you just did to our readers. Location is indeed one of the key points that potential guests shall consider as we are on a rather secluded location adjacent to a National Park.
For those that may want to go out at night, have more shopping and / or dining options Patong is probably better while for those that may prefer to rest and relax …. ‘hide” from the other side of Phuket as we usually say, the resort is simply briliant.
Glad you took advantage of daily spa activities to start the day. Off is indeed a star and we receive many positive comments from guests regarding his skills and charming way to get guests involved in these programs. I will convey your compliment onto everyone. Thanks again for choosing Bundarika despite of those initial concerns after reading mixed reviews. We are glad you enjoyed it!
Best regards and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future!
