I booked this hotel for a birthday treat for my wife. A chance to get away for a night. We stayed in a ground floor room fairly close to the reception lobby. The hotel was very bright and clean and was situated in a very picturesque area within the Cotswold Water Parks. We liked its location as it is close to Cirencester. Also the spa is very well equipped. The main restaurant was fully booked so we had to book the attached Old Boat House restaurant. This was not dissappointing, we both enjoyed our meal and the service was very prompt but unrushed.
The only negative was the noise and this was probably attributed to the fact that we were close to the reception. I think there had been a wedding on during the day and we heard raised voices till gone 2.30 in the morning. My only suggestion would be to ask for a room towards the back of the hotel (you'd also benefit from lake views)
