Linsberg Asia is a wonderful place for a short break. Located just 1 hour outside Vienna it is perfect for spending the night, as the spa facilities can be used from 3pm on the day of arrival until 5pm on the day of departure. We went on a cold and dull Saturday in February and as imagined it was very crowded - for check-in and check-out at the hotel we had to wait (but then the service was very welcoming) and also the spa facilities were a bit crowded.
The hotel room (Magnolia Room) was lovely and spacious, the ammenities (usual soap, shampoo, shower cap, etc. plus a bag with bathrobes, spa towels and slippers, newspaper in the morning) were great. We liked the layout of the semi-open bathroom, as the shower and WC were in separate, closable cubicles, which allowed more privacy than some of the modern open bathrooms in other hotels. As we heared mixed things about the buffet dinner we brought some snacks which we had for dinner in the room. The breakfast buffet was good and plenty, however we would have appreciated a larger choice of Asian breakfast as well as a decent salami.
The spa area would have been heavenly if there had been less people. There is one smaller spa area just for hotel guests, where you can have fresh towels and drinks (water, tea), and a large public spa area. Both areas are designed really nicely with Asian touches according to Feng Shui principles and the choice of different pools and saunas is large enough to keep you busy for a day. Switching between pools, saunas and relaxation rooms was utterly relaxing and the thermal water great for the skin.
We will definitely come back when we're in need for some pampering. Maybe we'll try to come during the week when it's not so crowded.
