Although I've used this site religiously for years I've never actually reviewed anything on here before. After staying at Amy Cottage, I felt compelled to.
I have to say this quaint little B&B is absolutely beautiful.
The 400 year old cottage itself is lovely, with its thatched roof and cosy, spotless decor. Every little thing has been thought of with care and attention. Another reviewer was spot on when saying if Cath Kitson made B&Bs, this would definitively be it! We had a lovely personal welcome from Angela and Gary and were made to feel right at home within minutes of our arrival. Even giving us a torch for our moonlit walk down to the local pub (there are no street lights in the village, absolutely unheard of for a Londoner!). The cooked breakfast in the morning was perfect – great fuel for our picturesque walks around Lulworth Cove.
Although you do have to go downstairs for the bathroom, it's understandable, it's an old cottage and a small price to pay for such pretty surroundings.
We only stayed there last week and I've already recommended this B&B to loads of friends and family. We'll definitely be back, and for much longer next time!
