We spent two nights at the Denali Bluffs hotel. The worst thing I could say about the place is that it is really hard to find. There's no sign on the main road and I had to call the front desk to get directions.
It is more of a basic accomodation with just 12 TV channels, Wifi in the common areas (even though we were so close to the restaurant that I could get a passable signal). Our room had a king size bed, two night stands, coffee maker and a table with two chairs. The shower was one of the biggest I've ever encountered in any motel.
A previous poster complained about the sliding glass door not locking. We had the same problem, but one call to the front desk and the maintenance guy showed right up explained what was happening and showed me the "stop gap" security measure and I was happy as could be.
We did eat one breakfast at the Mountain Grill on property and I wasn't impressed, not bad just not "very good". We ate at the buffet and it was just so-so. I'm sure thye were doing the best that they could. This place is just a mile from the park, but over 100 kmiles from Fairbanks. I'm sure it's a challenge to get supplies. also, they only had two weeks left until the place would close for the season.
We didn't use it, but they offered complimentary shuttle service to wherever you needed to go.
All in all, for $120 a night, I though we got a good deal and I would recommend the Denali Bluffs to anyone.
