I had booked this restaurant online a week before for my partner's birthday, after hearing good reviews about it.
Getting there was a bit of a trek, but we found it easily, and at that time of the time, parking was not an issue on the side roads. We ordered starters of seafood salad and spring rolls, and mains of cashew nut beef, chicken pad thai, and giant prawn & glass noodle hot pot.
As an Asian, I must say that I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Admittedly, it was not too busy on a Wednesday night, but we were seated immediately upon arrival at 7.30pm, and drinks were served promptly. Starters came soon after we ordered, and it was delicious - I had asked for it to be a little more spicy, which they did adjust! I was impressed that they did not just fill the seafood thai salad with just squid and mussels, but added in 2 juicy pieces of scallops and a number of large prawns! The main dishes came soon after our starters were cleared and they were of the right proportions and very tasty, not too salty or having being too watery. Price-wise, 55 quid for 2 starters and 3 mains was very reasonable.
All in all, although it was a bit of a trek there, we felt that it was well worth the travel as the quality of the food was fantastic (it would give Bangkok brasserie in Winchester a run for their money!) and the service was brilliant - he head host who seated us had a sense of humour and was telling a few jokes as I had given my partner a swiss army knife as a birthday present!
