“Thrilled with the Paradise Cover Resort”

Paradise Cove Resort

The Paradise Cove Resort is a delight. We just returned from a 6 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was a beautifully appointed studio complete with a small, well equiped kitchen. The refrigerator was particular welcome for storing and cooling drinks and breakfast. The pool and grounds were attractive and very well kept. We enjoyed the relative peace and quiet. The resort seemed to appeal to couples over families with children.

As with all popular beach destinations, Anguilla has its share of construction. The only negative on our vacation was the noise coming from a development about 1/4 mile from the resort. This was no fault of the Paradise Cove Resort but we mention it just the same for those looking for absolute quiet. To us the noise was a background distraction, but not a show stopper.

A rental car is recommended since all but one restaurant (Smokey's, which is very good), is more than a walk away. The beach is a short walk and very beautiful. All and all this is a great property and we will definitely return next year.

What a pleasure to stay at a resort where the owner and staff are helpful, kind and can't do enough for the guests! If you want something done, they do it immediately. The rooms (condos) are spacious and clean, and the pool is delightful. I didn't mind the walk to the beach, at all. And it was nice that we could eat lunch at Smokeys. Last year, we stayed at the overly expensive CuisinArt Resort and the wild, screaming, often unsupervised children made the vacation less than enjoyable. Rent a car so you can enjoy the people, restaurants and wide variety of beaches.

We were happy we chose Paradise Cove Resort. We had a huge suite with everything from wireless internet to a washer/dryer. It was very clean and comfortable. Not being on the beach was not an issue because we went to a different beach each day and you can walk to The Cove beach. The staff was very accomodating. The first night we did not have a car so they drove us to a nearby restaurant and picked us up later. On Christmas Day the manager left a beautiful bottle of local rum in each room as a gift. This is a very quiet hotel and it is not Cap Juluca but save your money for the restaurants.

This is the only hotel I’ve ever stayed in where I’ve left because I felt plain uncomfortable. It may have been because there was no one else around when I arrived and it felt like I was there when I shouldn’t, or that I asked for a room off the ground floor, was told that none were available but never saw anyone else, or that I was the only person eating in the dining room (and the waitress was miserable) but it was probably the room - huge, but painted in pale colours, with a tiled floor, arctic air-conditioning and a vast kitchen area – that did it. I felt as though I was in a walk- in refrigerator with a bed rather than a hotel room worthy of the price. The bathroom seemed more dated than the building and overall the effect was not pleasant. Yes it was fairly new, clean and outside seemed OK (and looks far better on the web than it does in reality) but, for me at least, it didn’t feel right.

The beach was a short walk away and was good – though I believe all the beaches on Anguilla are and most hotels are actually on them.

I moved the very next day to a smaller, older building with a wonderful friendly owner, a great little restaurant and bar with people actually there, another great beach and a bill about 30% cheaper.

Maybe it’s too easy to move when you’re travelling with work and haven’t; prepaid for a week but I’d have thought that it wouldn’t be difficult to get somewhere with more soul than this chilly outpost.

“Paradise Cove is Wonderful”

Paradise Cove Resort

My husband and I recently returned from our Honeymoon in Anguilla. I don't think we could have ever picked a better island in which to Honeymoon. It was absolutely one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. Our plan was to rent a private villa for the entire week. The villa we wanted to rent was occupied for the first few nights we were on the Island so we chose to stay in a hotel for those three nights. We picked Paradise Cove for the price and the fact that they were close to the beach, and they had a pool (a great pool, might I add). We were delighted we chose this place. We were both very surprised at how large the suite was. We stayed on the top floor and had an open room with vaulted ceilings. The rooms were CLEAN which is perhaps my biggest requirememnt for staying in hotels. Not only were they clean and spacious, we had a large kitchen and two patios to enjoy.

The staff at Paradise Cove is lovely. They were kind and were always eager to make sure our stay was comfortable. They looked after little details which went a long way. On our way to the beach, they handed us a little cooler full of ice, which they refilled daily. They provided us with beach chairs, an umbrella, and snorkling gear. Though not directly located on the beach, they are near and we rented a jeep for the week that we used to drive to the different beaches all over the island, as well at the one close to Paradise Cove. It was quiet, secluded and beautiful.

I would advise other travelers to stay here if they want to enjoy this great island and not pay the exhorbitant prices of other hotels. We wanted to spend that extra money on dining and entertainment.
