“Fantastic Holiday”

Grand Pineapple Beach Club

I must admit I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews posted BUT the hotel and ammenities are fantastic.

The beach is just amazing and never too crowded you can snorkle or just lounge around in the lovely sea. The staff on activities are very friendly and organised beach cricket, football and volleyball you were never forced to join and it was good fun just watching.

Marys Outhouse lives up to all the reviews and it isn't really a trek up there (as some reviews have said) take it slowly and just remember there will be a nice cold beer, warm welcome and wonderful food when you get there. Please don't miss out on this because some people have whinged about the walk up there!

The rooms do need a little restoration but they are exceptionally clean and any problems reprted are fixed ASAP. If you are spending a lot of time in your room there is definitely something wrong!

We enjoyed all the food on our stay and especially because they moved the Pineapple grill menu down to the waterfront restaurant, this was the best foood and in a great setting. The Italian night buffet is also awesome and they make your own chosen pasta sauce while you wait..lovely.

The gardens are wonderfully maintained and very established. Enertainment was of a good standard and the bar stocked all drinks you could wish for (although some of the bar staff could have been a bit more friendly). Special mention to Jason and Kharim though as they were fantastic.

I'm going on a bit I know but had such a wonderful time I don't want people to be put off by previous reviews. What you have to remember is that this is an older hotel BUT in our opinion this definitely added to the charm of the place and relaxed atmosphere.

If you can you must go on the Stingray trip as it is great.

WOW, WOW, and WOW again!!!
I went to this resort dreading the holiday after a recent split with my partner, I took my mum instead since it was only 2 weeks before the holiday. Am so glad i went.
This place is heaven on earth. Lovely welcome at the airport with rum punch cocktails, private taxi to the resort.
The service from the moment we stepped into the resort to the very moment we left was OUTSTANDING!!
We were taken to our room, then found we had been upgraded to a water front room, the view was unbelievable, we could listen to the sea all night.
The rooms were totally caribbean, if you are expecting the Hilton, go to the Hilton, they are simple, clean, spacious and you really feel like your in the caribbean.
The food was ordered off the menu almost every night, other then Italian and caribbean buffet nights.
Mexican restaurant Pineapple grill was fantastic, went there ALOT!!!!!
The food was plentiful and great. Pelican bar served burgers, chips, icecream, popcorn, cookies etc.
The staff were so personal and friendly.
Marys Outhouse, part of the complex serves the best chicken and ribs in the caribbean.
You will not go hungry here!!!!
The beach was absolutley breath taking and the snorkeling was great. No problems getting beach beds either at the beach or round the pool, which was also gorgeous with waterfalls and an adults only pool.
There were 4 weddings whilst we were there, it is the most beautiful place to get wed.
Overall this place exceeded my expectations and would love to return again in the future, worth every penny.

I stayed in the Grand Pineapple for 10 days in May 2007.
I had air con in my room and it faced the spectacular beach.
The location was fabulous, the hotel grounds were beautiful with bright flowers everywhere and the beach was small but wonderful.
If you follow the footpath round by the dining area you come to what i call a 'shack'. There you will find Mary cooking her famous chicken & ribs (much nicer than hotel food) You can see from the photos that there have been a lot of visitors in the past. Great during the day but wouldn't recommend going there in the evenings on your own.
That was the positive.

This is the negative.
The food was not grand not even in the Pineapple Grill which was Italian, the menu was very limited and i don't think i finished one meal in there. The 'disco' that's held sometimes in the Grill is so dark that you bump into everything & it's rubbish!
There were a lot of children screaming and running around but that can't be helped! Because of this and the crap food i ventured out a lot more than i normally would have done!

We stayed with our 14 yr old and 3 yr old daughters for a week from the 9th May 08. The hotel is at a brilliant location, the beach and sea are just fantastic - clean, warm and very shallow. You dont get bothered by vendors either, even though the locals have full right of way. We found the staff really helpful and they all loved our little 3yr old girl Maisy and would make a big fuss of her each meal time. The rooms are tired but were cleaned each day to a high standard and the shower/bath always had really hot water. We stayed at 221/223 which were interconnecting rooms leading straight out onto the beach, they did suffer from noise at the bar area but only until 2300hrs. The hotel has 2 pools, a small adults onIy and the main pool which is bigger. Neither of them were busy as most people tend to head for the beach, sunbeds were always in a plentiful supply. If you are thinking of going with small kids there is nothing for them to do so make sure you take plenty to entertain them inc UV Protector Tent as the sun is vicious. The pinapple grill restaurant lacks charm and we found the food a bit cold - the other restaurant Topaz is brilliant though with really nice food. All in all a really good relaxing 7 day holiday which we highly recommend to you.

We went for a friends wedding on 25th April for a week and it was fantastic.Everything about the place was total relaxation. The staff are faultless and so is the hotel. We had a upgrade to ocean view(room 832) which was very spacious. The food and drink was second to none.Try marys outhouse for ribs and chicken and beer,we had what we brits call"a good session" up there.Comments such as "it looks a bit tired" "lot of steps up to some rooms " etc should be taken as what they are worth- nothing!!!!!!!.The hotel is spot on!.
