This company is set up to give everyone a good time. Captain Glen and his sidekick Mario have a geniune interest in entertaining and sharing their beautiful country to each passenger. Glen is full of information and is very knowledgeable about the ocean. The food was fantastic. The lobster was the largest we had ever eaten. This small local company deserves the business. A far more intimate and fun way to see the island than on the front of one of the huge catamarans see sailing around the island.

My wife and I booked this tour on-line. We were on a cruise and hate to be horded with the tours offered by the cruise ships.

Captain Glen and Mario pick you up in their boat adjacent to the cruise ship dock. You then are taken around the north eastern edge of the island and Captain Glen point out the Sandals Resort (not his favorite) and some of the other interesting facts of the island.

We then dropped off Mario at an island and he grilled lobster, bread, and prepared lunch (more on that later). We motored around to a popular snorkeling spot where a lot of other boats were already anchored. The snorkeling was good. We saw the largest barracuda I have ever seen. The thing was huge.

After we were done swimming, we went back to the picnic benches were Mario had about 11 lobsters on the wood fired grill, pasta and potato salad made by Glen's wife. The food was excellent as is the local rum. This was the most unique and best part of the trip. Glen would come around, talk with you, and break open your lobster for those of us less skilled in eating lobster. The wood smoke gave it a unique flavor that was fantastic.

After lunch, we walked to the top of Bird Island and took in the scenery. Simply Fantastic.

The last stop was a sandy area with hundreds of starfish littering the bottom of the water that was only about 4 feet deep. This was really neat and I enjoyed swimming around and looking at the different types and sizes of starfish.

We were then delivered back to the cruise ship dock. I cannot say enough good things about this tour. It was like Glen and Mario had been your friend since birth. It's worth the money and even extra as a tip.

I don't know if we can say much more than has already been said. We booked the tour from home, ultimately paying in cash to save 10%. Katja was extremely prompt in responding to our inquiry and upon booking providing directions from our resort to Jolly Harbour.

We enjoyed a very informative and educational trip along and around the west and north of Antigua, with Glen passing over a sunken ship and pointing out secluded beaches and resorts along the coast. Glen was helpful in answering all questions about the sights, the activities, the economy, the developments, the people - anything you wanted to know about Antigua - Glen was there to tell us.

We were a group of six, although it appears the boat could accommodate 10 - a nice size such that we good easily chat with each other. After passing Long Island we arrived at Great Bird Island where we dropped Mario, the 'executive' chef off on the beach to start up the grill and prepare lunch. Glen then took us around the other side of the island for 45 minutes of snorkelling. We snorkelled three times during our week in Antigua, and while the other two were good this location was clearly the best.

We returned for lunch, a great spread of huge lobster, salads, garlic bread, and drinks (beer, wine, rum punch, soft drinks) and some very tasty macaroon cookies. When I mentioned to Katja my wife is a vegetarian she replied that that would be no problem, and Mario cooked up a nice selection of corn, peppers, vegetables etc - more than we expected. Very relaxing, very tasty, very filling, very enjoyable.

Afterwards Mario led us on a walk to the top of the island where he provided some history and pointed out places of interest. We were provided plenty of opportunity to wander around and take all the pictures we wanted. We returned to the beach to relax and swim at our leisure.

Upon departing we observed some nesting pelicans before a final stop near another island were we again snorkelled, this time in an area filled with starfish, before returning along the coast to Jolly Harbour.

We enjoyed the trip/day because

- it was relaxing - plenty of time to enjoy ourselves
- the group was small and intimate
- the snorkelling was great
- the lunch and drinks were plentiful and excellent
- Glen was informative and clearly enjoys what he is doing
- Mario made sure we had enough to eat and drink and happily took pictures of us

After reading other great reviews online, my husband and I booked this excursion for our day in Antigua on Tuesday, March 24th, and were not disappointed in the least!

Captain Glen and his first mate Omari (sp?) were truly gracious, knowledgeable, entertaining hosts. After a ride around part of the coast of mainland Antigua and a stop to snorkel (where my husband and I saw amazing fish, coral, and even a five-foot barracuda!), we stopped at a picturesque island, one of the National Park Islands of Antigua. We were there treated to an incredible lunch of grilled lobster, salad, potato salad (which was to die for!), pasta salad, and garlic bread. For dessert, we had delicious coconut macaroons.

After lunch, we embarked to the top of the island, from which one can see both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and surrounding islands. The views were truly breathtaking; some of our favorite pictures from our entire cruise were from atop this island.

After relaxing some, we boated to our second snorkeling site, the Starfish Gardens, where we saw and were able to hold what seemed like hundreds of starfish. What a treat!

All in all, the day was fantastic and worth every penny, plus more! There were only about ten other people with us on this excursion, so the setting was very intimate, as opposed to some of the boating excursions we saw fellow cruisers taking. Therefore, we were truly given royal treatment, plus extra time to talk with Glen and Omari. My husband and I hope we’ll be seeing them again some day! :o)
