We just returned from 4 days in Bermuda and stayed at the Royal Palms the entire time. We chose the hotel based on reviews here and were not disappointed. The hotel was lovely and the staff members were extraordinarily helpful. For example, we'd been trying unsuccessfully to reach a riding stable about a trail ride (our calls to the stable went straight to voicemail and we repeatedly got a message that the mailbox was full), and when I told someone at the desk she volunteered to call them for us while we were out during our first day. She found another phone number for the stable and reserved the trail ride for us. Similarly, other staff members were helpful at suggesting things to do (it being the off season), and every employee at the hotel was pleasant and friendly. The hotel was extremely well maintained and the location can't be beat, unless you're a resort person who wants to walk out the door and be on the beach. (We're not those people.) I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in a convenient location, with a very nice room (we had a junior suite, which simply means a large room with a little kitchenette) and wonderful service. Also, the continental breakfast was far more substantial than we would have expected.

We needed a mini-vacation...Bermuda is close to the East Coast of the USA. After reading reviews and checking websites we selected the Royal Palms. An excellent choice! From our arrival to our departure four days later we were suprised, elated and very satisfied. The staff went above and beyond what we have come to expect from hotels. They even arranged for a calling card and SIM card for our phones. This saved half a day of shopping around provided peace of mind as we both have elderly parents. The onsite retaurant is also terrific and the breakfast brings new meaning to continental. Another small piece of travel info to share. If you live in Philly/South Jersey area do not limit your flight choices to PHL, we used Newark and saved a bundle!

I doubt anybody has made more visits to Bermuda over the last nine years than I have. I have stayed in most of Hamilton's hotels as well as several resorts and can say without hesitation that Royal Palms is the best of the bunch. Great location if you are doing business in Hamilton or exporing the island. The facilities are meticulously updated and maintained and the staff are professional and welcoming. I won't comment on their room rates for fear they will raise them. Ascot's restaurant, independently owned but located in Royal Palms, is the best restaurant in Bermuda.

As a computer consultant, I travel all over the world approximately six months of every year. One of my favourite destinations of choice for work and vacation is my "beautiful Bermuda"! I've been travelling there for four years now, having made over fifty trips for business and pleasure. After staying at several places on the island, we were fortunate enough to have the Royal Palms Hotel suggested to us. I have now stayed there over 30 times, and would highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone!
The hotel is run in a most caring and efficient manner, by a lovely brother and sister team; Susan and Richard; complimented by the most highly professional and warm staff imaginable. The addition of Theresa to the Royal Palms staff, two years ago, only brought further professionalism to their business. They take care of any requests or needs, often anticipating them before the request can be made. They accomodate the ever-changing schedule of the business traveller, as well as young couples on honeymoon and familes on vacation.
The rooms are exquisitely appointed in decoration, with all amenities you could desire. The room and property staff coult not be more helpful or accomodating.
What a lovely way to start your day, with a continental breakfast in the morning, sitting out on the porch or in the enclosed breakfast area, enjoying the sounds of the birds and the fragrance of the flowers. You are always assured to be greeted by a warm smile from Theresa and some fun conversation with John, asking how your day was, and providing some humour to start the day. He is a character, "our John"!
The property is a lovely retreat of flowers and ponds, which is maintained to the highest of standards, while still reflecting the simplicity of the Bermudian culture. As a single woman, I have always felt extremely safe at the Royal Palms, as I know they are looking out for my best interests.
The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Hamilton, which makes the variety of amazing restaurants easily accessible, as well as the ferry and bus terminal to travel about the island. The world-renowned "Ascots" Restaurant is located on the property, and it is truly a dining experience; one of the nicest on the island. Angelo and his staff treat their guests in the most professional manner to ensure that their guests enjoy their dining experience, which is reflected in the repeat visitors.
This is truly a "five-star" hotel, which has also the lovely quality of a warm and inviting smaller hotel.
The Royal Palms Hotel is definately my second home of choice! Thanks to everyone for always making me feel so welcome!
