My husband had work to do in Bermuda I came along for a get away. I had found Watercolors on trip advisor & e-mailed Carol. She actually called us back , we were able to ask questions & make arrangements with her. She also arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport. Her home is beautiful, very quiet & peaceful-our room was spacious & bright, with patio doors that went out onto a patio & overlooked Hamilton Harbour. We could see the ferry coming & it was a 2 minute walk up the road to catch the ferry to Hamilton. Very convenient. Carol made sure we knew where to catch the ferry, a grocery store is within walking distance, a cooler is provided to keep some items in. Breakfast is set up every morning @ 8am, fresh fruit, yogurt, various breads, cerals, coffee , tea & juice.
We used the ferry every day, the bus system in Hamilton will get you where you want to go as well. Carol gave us a list of their favorite resturants. We did try the Fourways Inn Sunday brunch- it was amazing! One of my favourites was The Pickled Onion. We also dined @ Portifino- very good.
We had a great week sight seeing, The Crystal & Fantasy Caves is a must see- an amazing natural beauty. The aquarium, Dockyard & town of St George are worth going to visit. We are sure to return & stay @ Watercolors again. Thanks again to Carol for an enjoyable week!!

Watercolours is a wonderful place to stay if you wish to stay in a large, modern, tasteful, spacious, quiet and comfortable house. Guest quarters are well seperated from the family living quarters and with the seperate entrance, you easily slide in and out at will without feeling you are in someone else's house. The best of both worlds of small and intimate yet not being on top of one another. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

We visited with another couple and found this arrangement to be wonderful for all of us. The water is about thirty feet from your bed and you regularly see the ferry go right by about 50 feet away. It is a special ambience. The ferry stop to go into Hamilton is about a five minute walk away.

Highly recommended.

Carole and her husband are very attentive to any need you may have. Breakfast is great, nice variety and not too much or too little. Afternoon drinks are a bonus.

Got home a week ago from a family reunion at Watercolours. It was a magical long weekend. The reservation process was easy; emails with the owner Carole Holding. She even arranged to have taxis waiting at the airport for us (you cannot rent a car in Bermuda). Watercolours is located in Warwick on the harbor, directly across from Hamilton. Guest rooms are on the lower level of Carole and her husband Joe's home. The guest rooms have large french doors opening onto a palm tree lined patio with lounge chairs and swimming pool. What a view waking up in the morning. Watercolours is a very short walk to the ferry stop for a short leisurely trip to Hamilton to connect to other ferries or a bus to visit other parts of Bermuda.
Breakfast was served in the library; it consisted of fresh juice or fruit, yogurt, granola or cereal, fresh baked pastries or bread, preserves Carole made, and fresh pressed coffee. In the afternoon after a day of shopping or sightseeing,we gathered in the library or around the pool for an afternoon drink or maybe a nap.
Carole and Joe a very gracious hosts who would check in to make sure we were comfortable or needed anything. They were never intrusive. We all had such a wonderful family reunion that we are looking forward to staying at Watercolours next year. I can't say enough for our experience.

Since our first visit to Watercolours in 2005, we have returned four times for our 'All Girls (Mom and sisters) Get-Away'. The accommodation and atmosphere provided by Carole and Joe are perfect for relaxing and enjoying each others' company. When it's time to force ourselves from the sumptuous breakfast table or the relaxing poolside seating, it's a short walk to the ferry into Hamilton. Need something more direct? Carole will arrange taxi pick-up for door-to-door service.

The personalized service doesn't end with taxis. Recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, local entertainment and shopping are all dependable. And don't forget the Carole Holding shop on Front St in Hamilton-- it brings your stay at Watercolours full-circle!

I'd never been to Bermuda, so when my husband gave me the trip as a birthday gift I was delighted. As we began our search for a hotel, I was set on a big resort. My husband found Watercolours in our guide book and we decided to take a chance.

Wow. This is a beautiful spot, right on the harbor, which is fascinating to watch. Gorgeous rooms with French doors opening to the beautiful blue ocean; so close you can almost touch it. It's very easy to get around too. The ferry is about 1/2 block away and the bus stop's not far either.

A Continental breakfast is provided each morning and the table is graciously set. Yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, local muffins and bread, local preserves and marmalade with a steaming cup of great coffee. There's also a coffee maker in the room with supplies if you wake up too early for breakfast (8-11:00 am) and have to have some joe. In the evening, rum cocktails are available along with some snacks.

We came away from Watercolours with smiles on our faces, and the relaxed, happy feeling carries on. The owners are terrific. We're already planning our next trip. Linda & George, New York City
