We just returned from Hotel Rochaline, we spent 6 nights at the hotel over Christmas. I figured I should provide an updated review. The price was splendid! As others have written the rooms are small, started to feel a bit crowded with my husband in the room. We had T.V., AC, small porch that looked over the City Café restaurant and the ocean. The rooms are above the bar. We also could see the cruise ships every day from our deck. The room was clean and had daily maid service. The bathroom looked like it had new tile in shower, walls and floor. We are pretty independent travelers and did not interact with the staff much, but they were all friendly. The drawbacks of the place are that the City Café is the party place on the island, therefore you can hear music in your room and sometimes they party late. I always sleep with ear plugs and was not bothered, but my husband was. The location is splendid especially if you drink too much at city café and just want to roll home. The rooms are a bit like an old Motel 6 in the U.S. but the price is even better! We paid $60 a night. More money for other things! We would go back but might only stay a few nights at this place rather than six nights.

The location of the Hotel Rochaline can't be beat. The hotel is situated between the main boulevard of downtown Kralendijk and the ocean. The oceanside of the hotel has a lovely open-air bar and restaurant and was a perfect spot for watching the sun set while enjoying happy hour. It appeared the bar was the happening place - frequented by locals and tourists alike. The hotel, restaurant and bar are all located in one building with an internet café that was very convenient for checking my business email. The hotel is walking distance to many other restaurants and shopping. The rooms are clean, neat, and orderly with affordable rates. The employees at Hotel Rochaline are very helpful - notably Sjoerd Vanderburg, who made our stay very enjoyable. Sjoerd is a charming host and was extremely helpful with everything from our flight to recommending fine wines. My wife and I highly recommend the Hotel Rochaline and will stay there again when we visit Bonaire.

When returning to Bonaire – hopefully soon – again we would like to stay in the Rochaline-Hotel. This cosy hotel is best situated in the center of Kralendijk. All bars, restaurants and shops are reachable in just a few steps. The rooms are clean and the very friendly stuff builds up a personal atmosphere, which you will not meet in most other, more expensive places on the island. We did not miss anything and enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you very much Sjoerd (the director of the hotel). For us it is extremely comfortable, that our favourite bar and restaurant, the City Café, is situated in the building next door. One can walk through the hotel lobby to it for a delicious breakfast or lunch or dinner, all for fair prices. Every evening we enjoyed the happy hour in the bar with a few drinks and a direct view to the sunset. It is just a small road between it and the caribbean see. No wonder – at this time the place is just little more crowded with tourists and local people, generating a nice and friendly atmosphere!

I stayed at the hotel for one week for business. Hotel Rochaline is a very nice hotel and i liked it very much. The rooms are renovated and are great. I recommend anybody visiting Bonaire to stay at Rochaline. It's the only hotel right in downtown which gives you plenty of restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is a small hotel with not so many rooms so if you are planning to visit Bonaire make your reservation as early as possible as many are staying there due the favorable location. I had the pleasure meeting the owner Mr. Sjoed v.d.Brug who is very friendly and willing to provide you any information about Bonaire if you need to. I recommend you this hotel 100% The website for the hotel is Hotelrochalinebonaire or if you want specific information about Bonaire Bonaireairlines.
