When returning to Bonaire – hopefully soon – again we would like to stay in the Rochaline-Hotel. This cosy hotel is best situated in the center of Kralendijk. All bars, restaurants and shops are reachable in just a few steps. The rooms are clean and the very friendly stuff builds up a personal atmosphere, which you will not meet in most other, more expensive places on the island. We did not miss anything and enjoyed our stay a lot! Thank you very much Sjoerd (the director of the hotel). For us it is extremely comfortable, that our favourite bar and restaurant, the City Café, is situated in the building next door. One can walk through the hotel lobby to it for a delicious breakfast or lunch or dinner, all for fair prices. Every evening we enjoyed the happy hour in the bar with a few drinks and a direct view to the sunset. It is just a small road between it and the caribbean see. No wonder – at this time the place is just little more crowded with tourists and local people, generating a nice and friendly atmosphere!

I stayed at the hotel for one week for business. Hotel Rochaline is a very nice hotel and i liked it very much. The rooms are renovated and are great. I recommend anybody visiting Bonaire to stay at Rochaline. It's the only hotel right in downtown which gives you plenty of restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is a small hotel with not so many rooms so if you are planning to visit Bonaire make your reservation as early as possible as many are staying there due the favorable location. I had the pleasure meeting the owner Mr. Sjoed v.d.Brug who is very friendly and willing to provide you any information about Bonaire if you need to. I recommend you this hotel 100% The website for the hotel is Hotelrochalinebonaire or if you want specific information about Bonaire Bonaireairlines.

“The Roach Hotel”

Hotel Restaurant Rochaline

Small rooms (door hits nightstand when opened), unlit hallways, mold in bathroom, no hot water (none at all - shower or sink), bathroom celing drips from upper floor leaks, peeling paint, constant noise from downtown, broken A/C, door would not lock, rooms smell of mold and smoke. Yes, there were roaches too.You will ALLWAYS find a room available. We stayed 1 night on a layover thanks to ALM Airlines messing up our flights. They recommended the hotel to us, then left us on our own to pay for it after saying they would cover it. I think we were the only people in the place - no wonder. You'd be better off sleeping on the beach.
