I have been to Cuba four times before staying in Casa Miriam, always staying at hotels. To be at Casa Miriam made me wonder why I took too long to discover the place. The building is a nice house with an architecture of the late 19th Century and it is in really good shape. The rooms and bathrooms are very nice and clean.
The neighborhood is also a plus because you get in contact with a non touristic part of Havana. It is in walking distances to the Malecón, the Floridita Restaurant, the Capitolio and the Partagás Cigar Factory. In a 20 minutes walk you reach "Habana Vieja" and all the nice squares that are located in this neighborhood.
All the family are very nice and friendly and Gerardo gave me some good lessons about the history of the country.
As a frequently traveller to Cuba, I highly recommend this house.
