Stayed here for 8 nights and loved every minute of it, excellent rooms, wonderful staff and the best cigar store in Havana. When we arrived the receptionist aplogised and told us we had a room with no window but offered to move us the very next morning. However room 7 was wonderful, clean, comfortable, great bathroom amd so quiet for sleeping that we decided to stick with it for the full 8 nights. The staff in all areas were absolutely wonderful, courteous and friendly at all times, especially Eileen in reception, Dalis the chambermaid and Jose the breakfast waiter.
The restaurant was stylish and served some really good food, especially the sirloin steak which was better than most I have tried in the UK. The cigar shop was without doubt the finest I have seen in Havana and the roller in residence rolled the best salomones I have ever smoked.
I was so impressed I am already looking into another visit this year.

We spent the last night of our holiday in Cuba here and so I splashed out and booked a mini suite, which turned out to be enormous (an extensive bathroom plus enormous bedroom) and 3 balconies. Unfortunately, because of the heat we had to keep the shutters drawn all the time. The bed was huge and comfortable.
Although the service was not effusive, I found it adequate and we were able to check in to our room at 11am rather than the expected 4pm.
Unusually for us, we ate in the hotel restaurant and were impressed. It was very good value and the fish (lobster, prawns and fish) were the best we'd had all holiday. Breakfast (served in another restaurant) was nothing special, but OK.

This hotel is recommended on Lonely Planet and I don't know why!

Yes the courtyard is beautiful and it's at a great location. The breakfast wasn't particularly amazing, and the rooms were just odd. I was freezing all night, then turned off the air and was baking. And there's a bath but no standing showerhead, you have to sit in the bath and use it that way.

But most importantly...the receptionist (Jenny) and I had a misunderstanding about making a showerroom available later in the afternoon, before we had to fly home. When it transpired she only meant that there were the toilets downstairs for us to wash in the sink (!) she didn't make any apologies for not having something else available, and said it was tough luck if my spanish wasn't up to understanding. I asked if we could pay a maid to clean an empty bath in one of the rooms and we use it quickly, but she was having none of that, and then turned away and wouldn't speak to me, nor would she even provide a towel. For having spend CUC $130 for accomodation there that night, I didn't really appreciate her awful behaviour and I will be complaining directly to Habanaguex hotel chain, as I have never had anyone in the service industry be as rude to me.

If I were you, I'd check out Florida or one of the other ones in the area, this place wasn't special enough!

This was a fabulous little hotel in Habana Vieja, the rooms were welcomingly air conditioned in the 35degree heat!!

We stayed in Room 9. Slight issues were the fact that the shower had no doors and the shower itself did not hang up so you had to hold it above you. There was also a slight smell of drains in the bathroom, but as we only stayed a couple of nights it wasn't a problem.

The room was comfortable and airy (even though it had no window) and the staff were really helpful.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Habana and spend some time somewhere other than a big hotel.

There is also a really good cigar shop here, probably the best one we found in Habana.
