The bad thing about this hotel (and there is only one thing) the room we were given was too loud.As my wife booked us a quiet room.A small complaint from her and they up graded us to a sweet on the 12th floor. Result!!!!!!!!!.
The staff: We found the staff to be very helpful and kind. Thanks O'Neil for the bar wasnt the same when you was off.The rooms were kept clean and tidy and the towel art was some of the best we have ever seen. The towels were changed regularly and so were the sheets.
The rep : His name was Louise and he was very knowlegable with the local seen and the not so local as well.He did book us all a resteraunt and when we got there the table was reserved for us all.Well done that man!!!!.
The place : The hotel was exelent. We had a small wait for the elivator to go to the bottom of the shaft but it was with us in about 3 min's any longer was a fluke. The meals were fit for a king. There were at least 3 soups,12 courses of main meals and up to 15 course of sweet. They were good enough for even the most fussiest of eaters.Dont bring crisps or anything, try the meals you wont be dissapointed. The Cuban resteraunt and the International resteraunt were great.Good food in them both.
Helen and me are going back to Cuba next year and we are staying in the same hotel as we both were well satisfied with it.Normally we dont go to the same place twice but it was well worth it.
The trip : We were rushed from pillar to post and as I have a slightly knackered knee it was impossible for me to keep up.She didnt take into account other people. We went on a two day trip to Havana. The tropicana show was first class (My wife won the competition on the stage) The hotel we were sent to was a flea pit.The t.v. didnt work the shower was broken, the door of one of the cupboards was broken and hagging off and my sheets were dirty. If they were trying to sell the place to tourists,I'm affraid they failed misserably. The trip was on the hole OK apart from the rushing round. The cigar factory we were supposed to visit was off the agenda due to it being the wrong time of year.We still got to see some cigars being made though.Very good.
We will go back there but we will do another trip and see if we are rushed round on that one.My wife wanted to do a tandem parachute jump but we only found the guys that did it on the last day.The diving was exelent as I do quite a bit of scuba diving. Thanks to all that made it a well worth while time for me.
