We stayed at Crescent moon cabin for 3 days at the begining of our 2 week trip to the amazing dominca.
We stayed at 4 other hotels overall and they were all fantastic- but overall we have decdied that crescent moon was our favourite and the best.
It has amazing food, with a personal touch and most stuff is grown on- site!
The cabins were romantic and comfy- with hot water on demand( unlike junglebay- which was hit and miss).
It is nicely placed for visitng the amazing sites of dominica.
Only downside is the bumpy track down to the site- but you get used to this!

we just got back from one of the best vacations i've ever had. dominica is this beautiful little caribbean island that is called the nature island. we hiked to waterfalls, a valley of sulfur spewing geysers, a boiling lake, and crystal clear pools. we took a couple of afternoons and went snorkeling in the ocean, warm and clear! then we would come back to our cabin, one of 4, at crescent moon. unbelievably beautiful! the cabins are on a hill overlooking the rainforest, you can see the ocean in the distance. each cabin has a beautiful porch...and there are no mosquitoes...which was a pleasant surprise. then, you take off your hiking shoes after a long day, take a shower, and get ready to enjoy 5 star meals...all food is made from scratch and mostly grown in their greenhouse. we even had homemade ice cream for dessert, and hot chocolate made from the roasted bean pod and cinnamon and nutmeg! when i say unbelievably wonderful i mean it!

The American hosts have clearly big joy and pleasure running their cabins with lots of love and passion. Fantastic food, truly above expectations (can compete with 15 Gault Millau)! Very, very bumpy road to get there - nothing for tender nerves. 4wheel drive, car compulsory in our opinion. Stunning location and view; wildlife included. Large, private cabins but not luxiourious. Turned out to be quite chilly in the evenings. Dominica is clearly an island full of (lovely) surprises but only recommended for nature and sport lovers (great diving!). Overall, a unforgettable, unique experience and we enjoyed the presence and advice of our hosts a lot. We wish them all the best & we might come back some day! There's so much more to see and do... :-)

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Ron, Jean and Tiana were fabulous hosts and accommodated us in every way possible. They have a fantastic knowledge about the island and the people and recommended a superb guide for our hike to the boiling lake. Ron's cooking was stunning and their use of their own grown produce very imaginative. The cabins surpassed our expectations with lovely verandas overlooking the valley. I wished we could have stayed for longer and I would definitely return there for a longer stay.
