The dive operation was decent. Some of their equipment looked old but I brought my own. There were only a few people on the dive trips which was nice. The Whale Watching trip was also good. The hotel rooms were average. I've seen better, I've seen worse. It is on the ocean and that was nice. The pool was OK but very slippery. I've been to many islands and I know what "island time" is but the dining at this place was very slow even for those standards. There was also a loud, rude bunch of people for the first few days and the hotel staff was unable to keep any sort of control over them nor did they seem to care. It was a holiday weekend and Dominicans love a party, including the staff I guess. I would rate my first few days there as terrible. Once the place emptied out, it was fairly quiet although they seemed to have various party boats that went out and came back late with music blaring. I would recommend a different hotel. This place is not worth the money. For a little more, I think other hotels would be a better choice. For example, the service seemed much better at the Fort Young Hotel.
