We booked the honeymoon hut and loved our own private cottage just steps from the water! We sipped Kubuki beer on our private patio as the sun kissed the horizon each evening. Clean and comfortable, large vaulted ceilings, huge shower for two, and air conditioning. A very nice accomodation for a Caribbean island!
Great location to explore the island. We rented a car in order to explore Calibishie, dive and kayak with Nature Island Dive (Great!), whale watch with Dive Dominica (Saw a mama and a baby!), and dine a few nights in Roseau. If you rent a car, just remember that this is like any other non-tourist island- thin roads, steep hills, just go slow. We then stayed at Jungle Bay Resort to explore the interiors of the island (no driving by us!)
Excellent, filling breakfasts every morning and even chose to eat delicious dinners at the hotel a few nights! Staff was very friendly, accomodating, and always remembered who we were. No bills to sign. No problems asking for more towels. Always helpful with directions and dinner reservations in Roseau.
A peaceful location with views of the bay and various sailboats. (The cruise ships dock in front of Ft. Young and Garraway so no views of them here!)
February was a fantastic time of year to go- no bugs, no mosquitoes, low humidity, and warm, sunny days!
