This was our second trip to Dominica, and although we wanted to dive with Nature Island Divers in Soufriere (possibly the best dive operation in the Carribean!), we wanted to stay nearer to Rosseau to be able to enjoy the local restaurants. The Evergreen is a family operated property, and it shows in everything they do. The "new" wing has six (?) ocean front rooms with balcony, AC, and views that can't be beat. The rooms are bright, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning at the restaurant, right on the water. When we had to change rooms mid week (we booked very late, and were told up front that the oceanside room was only available for 4 nights), they took care of everything. The room in the original building had been recently renovated, and although it lacked an ocean view, it had a cathedral ceiling and was quiet and comfortable. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, you are treated as a valued guest, and greeted by a smile from everyone. My only reservation in recomending the Evergreen is that it will be full next time we want to visit!
