Zandoli Inn offers a quaint, tranquil setting in which to relax- very tasteful rooms/decor - fabulous overall architecture/design maximizing property. Right on site there is snorkling, "lite" trails, sitting pool and sunset. Great hosts, guests and conversation. Fairly easy assess to the top island hikes, easier access to Roseau and scuba/whalewatching. Island is lush and rugged - for serious hikers and scuba divers as well as very adventureous travelers

Staying here is the perfect antidote for the hurryup world we live in, Beautifully appointed throughout, as designeed by the owner's architect husband. The owner, Linda , was a great host, joining the guests at the bar for cocktails and stories. The food was excellent, the views great. Have a car so you can go around this beautiful island.

On our first trip to Dominica, my husband and I enjoyed our first wonderful 5 days at the Zandoli. The grounds and views are magnificent (we actually spent a good part of our first day just staring out the window), the rooms breezey and beautiful (some of the best sleep either of us has EVER had), and the service and food outstanding (lobster on New Years Eve was a meal to remember!). Linda, Marlies and their team took wonderful care of us. The inn is a bit off the beaten track (one of its benefits) and public busses do run there but a car would give the most flexibility from this location.

We spent a glorious week at Zandoli Inn in March. Innkeeper Linda, her daughter Jennie, and the Zandoli staff were gracious, attentive, kind, and fun, and made us feel right at home. The food, the accommodations, the views, the grounds are superlative, and provided the perfect homebase for our exploration of Dominica. Both Linda and Jennie were very helpful and insightful in helping us narrow down the things we wanted to do and places to see. We started each day with a sumptuous breakfast of local fruits, refreshing juices, and home-made breads--or heavier fare if strenuous activity was planned for the day--on the patio, chatting with Linda or the other guests about our plans for the day. Then, spending the day roaming about Dominica--hiking (yes, we did the hike to Boiling Lake--fabulous!), snorkeling, enjoying the myriad waterfalls, and more. We also spent one day simply lounging about the Inn, snorkeling, sunning, soaking in the refreshing cool pool, wandering the bouldery coast. After a full day of activities, a brief nap and a shower, gathering for cocktail hour with Linda and Jennie, and other guests to share laughs and stories. (If you are so inclined, Linda's secret recipe rum punch is not to be missed.) Followed by Jennie's gourmet dinners, each morsel a mouth-watering delight. Then bedtime, lulled to sleep by the cool breezes and rhythms of the waves. A perfect vacation, and Zandoli was the perfect place to stay. We'll return again and again. K&K

My wife and I just returned from Dominica and a stay at the Zandoli Inn. The Inn is as a serene and immaculate a location as anyone could imagine. The view of the sea and the mountains from our room was stunning. The owner's daughter Jennifer and her staff were wonderful. They were there when we needed them and otherwise were unintrusive. The food was sensational, from the fresh fruit to the native dishes, as well as the main courses prepared by Jen who must be considered a gourmet chef. Jen also helped to arrange guides for bird watching and hiking. If you're animal lovers like we are, the Inn is the place to stay. Resident are two friendly dogs and a couple of affectionate and playful cats. It was like having part of our home with us. We were fortunate to have great, albeit hot and sticky, weather and even with the unscreened windows opened in our room, insects were not a problem at all. No television, no radio, no computer, no newspapers. If peace and quiet, except for the sounds of the ocean and the birds, are what you are looking for, this is the place to try. Would return in a heartbeat. John
