Zandoli Inn was the last inn of our Dominica trip and, in a sense, it was like saving the best for last. Canadian owner Linda is a funny and engaging woman who welcomed us and led us on a short tour of the propery. Think gentle breezes, a romantic and immaculate room, a sheltered cove and the wide, wide ocean before you. The grounds have interesting trees and plants such as the fragrant ylang ylang tree, orchids and a beautiful african iris whose blooms last one day. Evening dinner was served on the veranda with the twinkling lights of Grand Bay town across the bay. The food was delicious, portions were generous and a flourless cake made with Belgian chocolate will remain a fond food memory for a long time. While my partner slept in, I explored the friendly fishing village of Fond St Jean one morning, while the next morning I sat on the inn shore and watched the locals fishing in the bay. All in all, a perfect way to cap our trip.

I was there for 2 nights in March a spur of the moment stop in. Linda and her staff were perfect in everyway and having dinner with the guests at 7pm Sharp! was wonderful. The conversations and the time spent at dinner was fantastic. I would have to say it is the most delightful place i have ever stayed in the Caribbean. Dont miss this Inn and it is one of the reasons just to come to Dominica. Thank you Linda. Kevin in Vermont.

Intimate and charming. My husband and I spent 8 nights here. Our room was airy, comfortable and had a spectacular view. We slept with windows wide open. Linda and staff were gracious, warm and helpful in a relaxed, casual way. Linda helped us book excursions and was a wealth of knowledge about the island. The service and atmosphere were outstanding, but never pretentious.

Great snorkeling from the property (although you do have to climb down a long stairway to the water). Lovely grounds and patio and a small pool to soak in after hiking or snorkeling.

Food was good - we ate most of our dinners there. Lots of fresh local fruit for breakfast.

It is secluded - we were glad we had rented a car. We are returning for a week in 2006.

“At home at Zandoli”

Zandoli Inn was nothing short of perfect. Linda and her team do a terrific job making guests feel comfortable and vary at home. Breakfast and dinner at the inn were great ways to start and end extremely active days. The views from the Inn are absolutely breathtaking and give the feeling of extreme relaxation. Linda set us up for the day long hike to the Boiling Lake with a tremendous guide- forget his name- and packed us a lunch to eat along the way. This is the Carribbean as I imagine it was before the large hotels and clubs opened up on many other islands. If you are looking for a relaxing, yet active vacation where you can really get away from it all, this is the spot. Highly recommended.

My only regret about our visit to Dominica was that it didn't last longer. The inn and property are amazing. Great snorkeling off the shore below the inn. Linda, Marlise and the animals made our visit even more enjoyable. The food is incredible as well as the company and conversation shared over dinner. Don't miss the hike to the Boiling Lake. We can't wait to return to this absolute heaven on earth!
