What stands out at Pepper's Cottage is exceptional customer service. Pepper will drive you anywhere in the capital for a meal or massage or diving at no charge. It is included in the cost of the room for a weeks stay or more. He is always on time and is an excellent tour guide. Compared to other tourists we talked to we had a much more complete and longer tour. Pepper is always in a happy mood and his optimism is contagious. He knows all the best restaurants and local businesses. The cottage is a few minute walk from downtown, the open air fruit market, and many restaurants and dive shops. Dominicans on the street are all helpful in giving directions. Pepper never pressures you to do anything that you do not want to do. The cottage is safe and simply furnished with good air conditioning. The out door table and fresh flowers behind our cottage make eating at home a pleasure while you look at the ocean view. The ocean is a few yards away.

We stayed at Pepper's for the last week of March, 2006. Pepper picked us up at the airport and by the time we were halfway to Roseau, we were already considering him a friend. Our week with him was non-stop. We would have never seen half of what he showed us on our own. Not only is Pepper a knowledgeable and experienced guide, he actually enjoys what he does and it shows with every adventure. The cottage and his guide service are definitely a package deal. You won't be sorry.

I stayed at Pepper's Cottage in March 2005. I travelled solo and Pepper served as my host, guide, and driver for about 1 week. The cottage is located in Roseau and is basic but comfortable with 2 bedrooms and a charming outdoor patio and little pool. As a young female travelling alone, I felt very safe and even slept with the back door ajar to hear the ocean and smell the sea air at night. The best part of the trip was having Pepper to take me around. I hiked to Boiling Lake with Pepper's friend and neighbor who was a fabulous guide. I visited Titou Gorge, Boeri and Freshwater Lake, snorkelled at Champagne, scuba dived twice, visited Cabrits and Fort Shirley, sulfur springs, whale watching, and a lot more! There is no way I could have organized and seen all this without Pepper. He was a gracious host who knows the island very well. He looked after my needs and strives to make his guests enjoy this amazing island. I consider myself well travelled and I would describe Dominica as a jewel in the Caribbean that has not developed the mass tourism that other islands have. It's really one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

We visited Pepper's cottage in february 2006. It is a small but comfortable cottage, just a few minutes walking from the centre of Roseau. We were there for five days and for five days our host Mr Pepper was our guide. In those days we saw all the famous places to visit on the island and Mr Pepper managed it that we were allways there when there were no other people. We visited not only the well known places but also beautifull, not yet well known, places like deserted, real Caribean beaches. The slogan of Mr. Pepper is "Just ask Pepper". And we must say when you asked something it was arranged in no time. In Dominica Mr.Pepper can and will arrange everything for you. We recommend it very much to everyone but especially to them who want to see a lot of this very beautifull island in a very friendly and happy atmosphere.
