We stayed at DELTA from 19th through 21st of april. Although staff is reasonably friendly, I would not stay there again on a business trip; reasons:
1)- Internet connection is not available in the rooms. They have an "open access" only at the lobby, and it has lots of incompatibilities (many people were cursing with their laptops accross the lobby sofas; I was not the only one). Else the signal drops all the time;
2)- Front desk personnel is not efficient on business center resources, such as fax (neither of my fax transmissions ever went through), photocopies etc.;
3)- Telephone operator is not very efficient, except if you speak fluent spanish (which is my case; but my wife got there a few hours before me, and they could barely communicate with her, which is quite unsatisfactory, considering our mother language is brazilian portuguese - very similar to spanish, in many senses).
Other than that, breakfast is good, rooms are comfortable, shower is OK, amenities idem etc etc.; summarizing, if you are going for a business trip, I suggest you consider other options.

this is a 4 star dominican hotel.the rooms were very nicely decorated and clean the hotel staff is very professional and prompt. they even look professional. the food is very good with breakfast included in the price of your stay. there is a rooftop swimming pool and whirlpool and bar with restaurant service. the hotel is located in a very nice section of santo domingo, and you are just a 5 dollar cab ride away from the colonial zone and shopping of old santo domingo and very close to two shopping malls. the neighborhood is very safe and the hotel has a guarded parking area right off the front lobby i would highl reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in the dominican republic. i stayed 5 nights from 2/23- 2/28. i still have my tan. what i really like is that when you want to go party in the colonial zone, you can , and then you get away from all the madness. one problem is that the tv's aren't the greatest, ut then again you are not there for t ayway. they do have cale and internet service, and are wired for wi-fi. run do not walk as this is a gem.
